On June 1, the “Silk Roads Poverty Alleviation through Education and Care” public benefit activity co-organized by Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation (BJIPCF), Gan Su Chamber of Commerce in Beijing (GSCC), and Beijing Peace Garden Museum was launched in Gan Su province. Li Ruohong, president of BJIPCF, Xie Yuhua, secretary-general of GSCC, and the head of the education commission of Dang Chang county, Gan Su province paid a visit to six county-level and village-level elementary schools and conducted in-depth exchanges of views with the school principals. The delegation investigated on the student’s learning and living environment and learned their needs for educational resources. They donated books worth 150,000 RMB and “New One Thousand and One Night” audio storytellers to students in eight middle and elementary schools.

On May 50, BJIPCF and GSCC investigated on local developable projects, for instance, plantation and production of traditional Chinese medicine materials, ecotourism in Guan E Gou, and Tour of Revolution in Ha Da Pu. The delegation held talks with government leaders of Dang Chang County on poverty alleviation in Gan Su province.
In the morning of June 1, upon invitation of the GSCC, BJIPCF participated in the Children’s Day celebration in Ma Bao Xiao Hua Ethnic School and the award ceremony held by Xiao Hua Education Fund. Li Ruohong, president of BJIPCF, made encouraging remarks and distributed schoolbags and scholarship to students. The Hong Fund of BJIPCF donated 100 self-edited Children’s storybooks to students and one audio storyteller for each dormitory.
