Representatives of Beijing Red Cross visit China World Peace Foundation

On the afternoon of Jan 29th, 2013, Mr. Ma Runhai, Secretary of Party Committee and standing vice president of Beijing Red Cross led a delegation to visit China World Peace Foundation in Peace Garden. He has also had a friendly meeting with Mr. Li Ruohong, Standing Director of Beijing Red Cross and Chairman of China World Peace Foundation.
Secretary Ma Runhai expressed his thanks to China World Peace Foundation for its highly concern and grand support of Beijing Red Cross. He placed hopes on promoting the cooperation between the two organizations and discussed deeply on specific projects and exchanges. Ma Runhai said, China World Peace Foundation devoted itself to international peaceful communications in the long run, and made tremendous contributions for exchange and cooperation between governments and civil society. As one of the three big international organizations, Red Cross places emphasis on international exchanges and collaborations based on the principal of humanity, justice, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and common. Red Cross and China World Peace Foundation have some common grounds in the respect of multi-field cooperation. In the new time and at the new stage, Beijing Red Cross as an international organization, public welfare institution and governmental assistant will further strengthen foreign contact and civil exchanges, serve the nation and International Red Cross. He hoped that both organizations would give full play to their advantages, establish cooperative platform for emergency rescue, health project and cultural communication, so as to make bigger contribution to humanity and peace.
Chairman Li Ruohong expressed that as a representative public welfare organization, Beijing Red Cross conducted plenty of effective works for China and international society. It won the extensive support from people. Being the Standing Director of Beijing Red Cross, Mr. Li Ruohong will lead China World Peace Foundation positively participate in the activities of Red Cross, make full use of the wisdom and strengths of international resources, highlight international exchanges in human field, and optimize cooperative projects to promote world peace.
